February 5 "Courageous Faith" In his last speech to the people, Joshua challenged them by saying, "Choose this day whom you will serve." Joshua's own response was, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." What response to this challenge are we giving by the way we are living? God calls us to have the courage to stand with and share Christ.
February 12 "Always Prepared" Scouts are generally known for always being prepared. They learn a variety of skills that are useful and helpful in life. All of us do well to be prepared in living out the kind of life God wants us to live. God calls us to be prepared: by knowing and abiding by His Word, by having Jesus as our Lord and Savior, and by His Spirit living in and through us.
February 19 "Go Figure" The whole experience of the transfiguration for the three disciples there left them quite overwhelmed and perplexed. They were not quite sure what to do with the experience and had questions. What do we do with the glory Jesus shows us and how do we bring Him glory? God calls us to live according to His glory.
February 26 "Forgive" In his teaching, Jesus spoke frequently of forgiveness. He even taught that we are to forgive others if we expect God's forgiveness for us. On the cross Jesus said the words, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." Forgive is a word that lasts forever.
